Tsipan The Best Teams Up With Queezey T & B-Reigns On Emotional Song "I WISH"

Image
It's no doubt that music producers have good relationships with a wide network of artists. What's magical is the producer's ability to put together different artists on a song to make a magical collaboration possible. This was the case with Tsipan The Best on his brand new offering. He brought out Queezey T and put him on a song with arguably one of the best female artists out of Northern Cape, B-Reigns. The pair delivered a solid emotional song that  is themed around a post break-up story where one partner is reflecting on how the relationship could have been saved had the other partner just worked on that one thing. The song is available on digital music platforms.Get the official audio on our FRESHLY GROUND playlist

WEARTHD "OOH YEAH" SONG REVIEW

Image
Weathrd definitely weathered the storm with this beautiful single called "OOH YEAH". He uses his confidence and creativity with a passion while he is singing for this mysterious girl. He is heard saying ," Girl you got me that ooh yeah". Which suggests that the feeling is so strong that he finds it inexplicable. And he portrays a sense of lust torwards her by saying,"tangled in the sheets that's all we gonna do". He balances all the elements of R&B and Hip-Hop very nicely while addressing the beat with sincere and heartfelt melody. This is how we rate it Lyricism - 10/10 Production - 10/10 Creativity- 9/10 Versatility- 10/10 Stream the song on our "LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS" playlist

$haheed - I'm On Drugs Song Review

Image
This sound just entice the emo spirit hidden deep inside $haheed on this new song "I'm on drugs." He uses a smooth Punk/Rock inspired voice to explain drugs and love as topics and in relation to what they mean to him. He could be heard saying , "Mix the uppers with the downers just to come back to life". Which rather suggests a bit of paranoia for what is to come mixing all this drugs. He is also heard saying , "It was love , it was drugs it was powerful enough" . Which portrays a sense of hope regardless the situation he finds himself in. He then passes the mic to Jupiter. Which comes in confidently and starts laying it down He says ," I got money on the way and it's doubling today". And then transitions into ,"It was love it was drugs it was powerful enough". One song two artists and two creative views on life's famous , Love and Drugs.   Lyrics : 10/10 Production : 9.5/10 Versatility : 7/10 Creativity : 8/10 Get the song

What is serial processing?

Image
What is serial processing? Think of a vocal chain as an electrical circuit. Instead of using 1 plugin to do something such as compression, you use 2 compressors to do 2 different things. You do not want to do too much, but combined they give you a smoother sound with each instance shaping the vocal dynamics in different ways. If you are using analogue emulations both compressors have their own harmonic distortion which add their own frequency content. The subtler, the better. If you find that your dynamics of the vocal are inconsistent and find yourself over-compressing, try out this method. The same can apply to equalisation. With subtractive eq I usually use a parametic equaliser, then with additive eq I always find myself using 2 Pultec emulations. Each adds harmonic distortion to the vocal and the high end sounds brighter without the added harshness. Going back to compression, most professional sound engineers prefer an 11-76 compressor combined with a LA-2A in series. The 11-76 is
