T-Dngr Boy Gets A Nomination "Best Hip Hop Artist" At MAMA 23

Last year we published an article citing that T-Dngr.Boy was one artist to look out for (read here). Just over a year later he's proved to be one of the most consistent artists on the rise and this has scored him a nomination at this year's MAMAs under Best Hip Hop Artist category.

When we asked the Matatiele raised artist about what he has been up to lately, this was his response; 

Just dropped Being strong 2.0 last week friday..... done shooting the music video for Being strong 2.0, I'll be dropping the video sooner than expected. Am done recording my first ever album titled "Kabeloa Manong" which consists of 12 tracks including songs like Being strong 2.0,  Oreratile and Uyang'basela


It seems like we'll be getting a Being Strong installment every year but this is just our assumption because the rapper hasn't mentioned it yet. To vote for T-Dngr.Boy, SMS "MAMA 2051" to 40439 each SMS costs R2.00

  One of Flassouw's great storytelling songs from her most recent EP, "Nothing To Something," is titled "Company." The album follows the female rapper's 'Teenage Life Patterns' effort by almost a year. This song features some of Flassouw's best lyrical work; her flow is flawless, and the phrases are delivered precisely and passionately. I was astounded by how she brought out Mvx053 to sing backing vocals over the hook. The structure of this song is truly amazing; it has a little bit of everything. This provided the song the well-balanced "Melodic Hook" + "Rap Verse" + "Melodic Hook" formula, which has consistently shown to be a "hit song" formula if the plot and vocal delivery are planned up appropriately.
