MindFlow × Woon Studios Drop Lighters Up EP + Announces Launch Party

Early this year Mind flow and Woon Studios launched and posted a booking package 

campaign to book any 4 artists on their roasters which includes Tshidamagg, Rae 

Blue, Mvxo53, and B2synth, Thatboyzeze, Brandon Heat, and Queezey T.

Rae Blue, Tshidamagg, B2Synth and Mvxo53 were booked for the Northern Cape

creative’s week to perform alongside Costa Titch and Lucile Slade. 

Meanwhile the artists have been collectively working for the past 5 months on the 

Lighters Up ep, writing and recording the songs. The collaboration itself is the first of 

its kind from the Northen Cape music industry and inclusive to other artists from in and around Kimberley. 

The EP was preceded by two singles which were "Day Ones" and "Lighters Up"

Following the release of the latter, a #LightersUpChallange was set which called on artists and producers to drop their 16s on the song's instrumental. Venomass , GeNoa, Mancrack , Bonolo Solomon , Moso2D’kgom, The Verdict , Jay

Pee, TooMuchWeekend, Top Tee were among the creatives who took part in the challenge

THE IDEA BEHIND THE COLLABORATION?

"This collaboration was to inspire growth and embrace the entertainment that is 

produced from home among each other, and also display what we could collectively 

achieve (meaning if we combine our skills, resources, businesses, artists and 

producers, we can archive more and move. Thus taking our entertainment industry to a 

national level and compete with our neighboring provinces).

We recorded and visually documented the whole process, (the planning, discussion 

meetings, music studio sessions and music videos and behind the scenes.) and it’s 

available on YouTube with more studio talks and creative process videos."

The songs feature B2synth, Tshidamagg, Mvxo53, Thatboyzeze, Rae Blue & 

Queezey T and were produced by THEONLYJIMMY, Varnie, ItsGodsGrace and 

Pharvoh.

The EP was digitally released on all digital streaming platforms on the 10th of 

September 2021 and the feedback after the release was positive and well received by fellow artists, 

producers, public figures and music supporters from the Northern Cape and sounding 

provinces. We would like to see more of these collaborations among artists, producers, businesses and retail stores from the province.

The Launch Party

The Ep launch will take place on September 18 with guest performances from GIFTED SOUL CHILD & CRAZY K

It is said that a download link to the EP will be available at the venue

The tickets are priced as follows: R50 (General tickets) , R120 (Squad/3 People) , R80 (includes food)

Cooler boxes will be allowed at a fee of R10
