Today on the PitRadar, we focus on Lindani Mdletshe well known as Eaz Keed. He is from and resides in Umhlabayalingana, Manguzi (KZN). He makes trap/rap music started writing music back in 2019 made a name for himself when he released “ The Bad Man ” that went viral. The song saw Eaz Keed getting positive feedback from Ayanda Jiya, Iceman Beatz, Wizibeatz.

1.Where did the name Eaz Keed come from?
Well, the name came from my late grandfather who was “ Eaz ” unfortunately he's no longer with us today and I was pretty much inspired by what he did for the community I live in and “ Keed ” came from “ Lil Keed ” whose one of the hip hop artist I listen to and unfortunately he's no longer with us too rest well to both and that's where “ Eaz Keed ” was born.


2. Talk to us about your early years, what were you like as a younger version of Eaz Keed? Did it play a part in what you are today?
Honestly yes, it did play a role cause the place I'm from really transpired me to take action and do something with what I had which was my mind and heart for a better living you know not only for me but for people who are behind me cause growing up wasn't easy at all that's why I thank my mother everyday for not giving up and trying so hard to give me that “ better childhood”


3.How long have you been creating music?
Might find it hilarious, but I've been making music for two years now but it's been a good experience you know to be an “ artist ” that makes music for people it's crazy but I love it

4.To your potential new listeners, what are 2-3 must-listen songs from your catalog?
Well that's hard to pick, but if I had a pistol barrel pointed to my head I'd say “ Ben'z and Band'z ” , “ Way Up ” , “ Last Kind ” those I gotta tell those are masterpieces


5.If you could describe your music in 2-3 words what would they be?
Phenomenal, Creative and Energetic


6.Who were some of your influences growing up? Musical influences?
They aren't that many I just felt in love with trap sound so I listened to alotta new wave artists for i.e NBA YoungBoy, Lil Keed, Lil Uzi Vert and J-Molley not plenty


7.How is it like growing up in Umhlabayalingana? Is music something that is accepted as a career path?
Growing up in Umhlabayalingana is pretty much inspiring cause everyone is up at their game trynna work or find work just to hold it up for they families and that's what inspires lotta young people like me to wake up and run it up and yes music is accepted as a career path.


8.Can you talk to us about your pen, your craft and abilities? Where did the abilities come from?
The abilities of my sound or music specifically came from listening to hip hop on it's own cause I was gassed bout how successful artists around the globe having a voice to say anything bout anything going on you know and about my pen I'm just normal I just write music whenever I'm hyped up you know i can't say I write music when I'm at my lowest.


9. What has been your biggest music moment since you started?
Well, having to talk music and get a call from “ @Kri$h ” was monumental and awesome cause I had an opportunity just to be motivated by one of the most looked up to artists in South Africa and SA Hip Hop industry too and secondly me working with three international artists in one month two from South America, Venezuela and United States of America, Pennsylvania all that happened this year and also this year being booked on an international event @thepeachmusicfestival to do a virtual performance at @sessionslive that was crazy cause that event had Grammy Award Winning Artist Anthony Hamilton and Tiana Kocher was epic.


10. What do you do the most, do you mostly freestlye or write your raps?
I write my traps/raps.

Well I'm no social guy that much I use Facebook just search me there “ @eazkeed ” and make sure to slide on soundcloud and search me there same handle and enjoy my music or reach me via my email mates let's work!!

B-Reigns Crowned Winner Of 'Expo-Sure' Season 1 Hosted By Eses Ent Earlier this year,  Eses Entertainment  introduced its latest initiative Expo-sure Season 1 which is a platform primarily made for performing artists situated in the provinces of North West and Northern Cape to demonstrate their abilities to a larger audience.
